Civil engineers, as a profession, is growing fast, but not enough for a large enough workforce to satisfy the needs of society.
Civil engineers are tasked with building things like highways and bridges, and they often do a lot of work that can be dangerous and costly.
It’s not surprising that, when it comes to the workplace, most engineers are either not very good or not at all.
But they’re not alone.
The Civil Engineering profession has grown in recent years, and while the job is now mostly done by white men, it’s still mostly filled by women.
As more women enter the field, so too do the opportunities for those women to earn more than men, which is part of what prompted this article.
Women earn about 80% of the engineering jobs in the US, but only about 30% of all civil engineers, according to a 2016 report by the American Association of University Women.
Why women are underrepresented in civil engineering careers is not clear, but the growing diversity of civil engineers is a problem for many employers.
“The fact that women and minorities are under-represented in the field has the potential to be a significant barrier to hiring and retention,” the AAUW study said.
And this is just the beginning.
The US is expected to have a workforce of more than half a billion people by 2035, and it’s a job market where it can be hard to fill that need, experts say.
When hiring, employers should consider a range of factors, including whether or not the candidate has been a member of a union, the degree to which the candidate’s previous work has been cited by other professionals and experience with engineering that is relevant to the job, the applicant’s background, and how well the candidate communicates with the team, the AAUP said.
The AAUP study also highlighted the importance of having a diverse team of people.
It recommends hiring people from different fields and occupations to increase diversity in the workplace.
In the US and around the world, the US Department of Labor requires that at least 40% of employees be people of color.
For civil engineers in the United States, this means that they’re required to be at least 35% white and 35% black.
If you’re a woman in the civil engineering field and want to work in the U.S., you’ll need to take a few things into consideration, including your background and experience in the fields of engineering and technology.
