Civil engineers are seeking more than jobs as contractors, but many are looking to earn a living by building or repairing things.
They’re also more likely to have jobs in areas with a high demand for skilled professionals.
Civil engineering organizations in the United States are hiring more than 10,000 civil engineers annually, according to the Federal Register, and the numbers are growing.
And while many companies are looking for experienced and well-qualified workers, there are still plenty of opportunities to get into the field, according with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Civil engineers make up around 3.4% of the total workforce, according the U-S.
They make up 18% of all private-sector employees, according data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Civil engineers also make up about 9% of state and local government employees, and about 11% of federal employees.
The bureau says that in 2014, there were 8,065 civil engineering occupations in the U., which means the number of civil engineers is growing at about 1.5% annually.
This growth comes as more companies look to hire and recruit people for civil engineering jobs, according.
The number of jobs in the field has also increased substantially since the recession, according Civil Engineers for America, an advocacy group for civil engineers.
The jobs are available at a variety of levels and levels of education, according The American Civil Engineering Association.
There are jobs in construction, and engineering in general, but also some positions that require advanced education in engineering, the association says.
The occupations that are considered highly-qualified, or have the highest demand for a job, are also growing.
Many employers require civil engineers to take Advanced Placement exams, which can take about one-third of the required coursework, and are often part of the job search process.
The exam is based on the topics of engineering and civil engineering, and is typically administered by an accredited college or university.
There’s also a certification exam that requires the candidate to pass a test, and some employers will offer an online exam as well, which is not required.
There are also a number of career-related options available to civil engineers, such as professional certifications and certifications as an engineer or a technician.
A Civil Engineering Certification is a certification that a civil engineer has to pass, and it’s not required to be a civil engineering technician.
The credential is designed to give civil engineers a sense of their skills and expertise, according as the Civil Engineers Association.
While the number is growing, the field still has a long way to go, said Lori E. Smith, director of research and policy for the Association of Civil Engineers.
She believes the profession is on the right track and there are plenty of qualified applicants, but it’s important to keep the demand for civil workers high.
“It’s very important to understand that we’re still a very small, very young profession,” she said.
“We have to have an enormous amount of talent and a tremendous amount of interest to get this job.”
