Juve are not in a rush to sell their best player for €60m or more, according to sporting director Giorgio Chiellini.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the club’s Europa League clash with Galatasaray on Sunday, Chiella said the club has not made a decision yet on the future of Alessandro Florenzi and could do so later.
“We’ve not made any decisions yet,” he said.
I think he’s the best player in the world. “
What we want is for him to stay at Juve.
I think he’s the best player in the world.
It’s impossible to buy players like that.”
Florenzi, 26, has struggled to make a successful transition from a club where he made the most of a late promotion to Serie A last season.
He scored four goals in 21 Serie A appearances before a knee injury ended his season and he has yet to score for Juventus this term.
However, Chiesa said Florenza’s contract with Juve is up in 2019 and the club could not afford to lose him for less than €60 million.
“It’s not going to happen [for 2018],” he said, adding that Florenzi has no option but to move on.
“There are so many teams who are looking for him,” Chiese added.
“He’s one of them.
Juventus have had a busy summer with the signing of Neymar and a new signing in striker Paulo Dybala.”
It’s impossible for him [to leave] because he’s so important to the team and the culture.”
